Reworking Google Checkout

So we found out 7.0.2 does not fully solve these Google Checkout problems we are having in offering flat rates such as Free Shipping. This problem seems to be a Google Checkout issue with calculating shipping. So the question is how do we avoid Google Checkout from calculations?

I've looked into other sites and we found they use Google Checkout like Able uses PayPal. You enter in all your information and then select a method inside of able - then you get transported to Google Checkout with the shipping result that was selected in Able. It doesn't have to calculate anything as its just one value.

Anyone interested in taking on the project of writing a custom way to check out with Google?
