Text Entry

Is there a way to allow the customer to enter text on a part when ordering it?
From Admin, go to Catalog | Product Templates.
Add a new template.
Under Customer Fields, hit Add Field.
Select Text Box and fill in the other fields based on the text you want entered.
Save the field.
Now pull up your product. You can use Catalog | Search.
Edit the product and then select Product Template from the list at the left.
Apply the template you created above to the product.
The customer field will appear on the Show Product information for the customer to fill out.
As additional Product Template information, Customer fields are ones that the customer fills out. Merchant fields are ones that the merchant fills out when applying a template to a product. By default, both types of fields appear on Show Product. The Merchant fields appear as part of the overall product information unless you set ShowCustomFields to False in OrderItemDetail (and possibly some other conlibs).
