Is there an Email Test Mode?

Is there any provision for telling the system to send all emails to a test email account? I need to test changes to the vendor notification process. For now I'll put in dummy email addresses but I'm concerned with what happens in the future when the store is correctly configured for all vendors.

At that time, if I make changes, I have to make sure to only use dummy ones (but what if I screw up) or change all vendor email addresses to dummy ones (and then reconfigure them back).

It would be nice if all emails could be directed to one or more dummy email addresses for testing purposes. Is this currently available or how do people currently handle this?

Thanks.

I have not tried this will AC, but when I want a copy of the vendor email I add my address to the vendor email field, separated by a semicolon. For example, "vendor@company.com; me@mycompany.com". The underlying mail system has always sent the email to both addresses. That will probably work with AC as well.

I appreciate the response but that doesn't address my issue. I want a way to test the system without sending the email to the actual vendor address. When testing the system, I don't want to send fake orders to the vendors. (or to test customers).

So far, it seems like AC is always "live" with its email addresses; the only way to run a safe test environment is by using test email addresses.

You can create one or two test vendors with some test Emails and then associate them to some test products. Then you can place some demo order for those test products and can receive vendor email notifications upon your test Email accounts given to those test vendors.

That will have to suffice. I'll put a feature request in for a test mode. Thanks Mazhar.
