Google Checkout Shipping Error
I just had an order come through Google Checkout with zero shipping charges. When I did a test order through Google Checkout all shipping methods I offer show on the secure Google Checkout page, but they all have ($0.00) for the amount. I have had other order come through Google checkout that have had shipping some I am not certain was has changed since now and then, as I have made no changes. Am I missing something?

Do you show any errors in your Google Checkout Integration Console? (Tools>Integration Console)SamsSteins wrote:I just had an order come through Google Checkout with zero shipping charges. What is the link to your website?

Check your integration settings inside your Google Checkout admin account. There should be a default shipping value you can specify - it's probably set to zero.
GC has a timeout limit on how long it will wait for your AC7 site to report shipping charges. If your site takes longer than 3-4 seconds, GC drops the request and moves on assigning every shipping method that default shipping value.
I changed mine to a really obvious number to get peoples attention - that way they at least know something didn't go right with the order and hopefully call. When it comes to customers, it's a lot easier to go from $ 999 to $ 5 than it is from -free shipping- to $ 5
Welcome to Google Checkout.

Re: Google Checkout Shipping Error
The error google shows is;
Your server returned no data in its response; Checkout requires data of type merchant-calculation-results in response to merchant-calculation-callback
As of May 5th it was properly pulling the shipping charges. For the few transactions I do with them, I think it will be easier to just disable it, instead of dealing with inaccurate shipping charges.

Sounds like the shipping timeout issue I described. It can be very hit-and-miss. It can work fine for weeks and then suddenly have a bad week.SamsSteins wrote:The error google shows is;

If you can place 3 orders in a row with GC and all three fail to provide shipping charges,then that's a different story and I would dig deeper.

Re: Google Checkout Shipping Error
This is going to sound very stupid, but I deleted the Google payment method and was going to add it again to see if that changed anything. I just went to Add Gateway in 7.0.3 build 12458 and I am not seeing Google listed. Has something changed in this version?
