Stone Edge and Multiple Shipping Destinations

This isn't really an AC question but someone reading this may know the answer already. I'm working on an XML order import file for AC to email to a vendor. My client doesn't have SEOM so I can't check this directly.

In the SEOM Dev Guide, it says the Shipping Element can only appear once per Order Element. If so, that would seem to preclude orders with multiple destinations. The work-around may be to submit multiple order elements, all with the same order number.

By any chance, does someone know what SEOM does for multiple destination orders? Or is someone able to do a quick test and see what SEOM does when it exports such an order?

Please let me know if you can answer this. Thank you very much.

I just tested this for you. Stone Edge dose not import the order correctly. It imports the order with no items. And in the notes it has the information. Stone Edge import would need to be edited for this to work unless able made 2 orders from the 1.

Thank you so much for testing. I also heard back from Stone Edge:
At this time our system only has a space for one shipping address, you would have to create another order in the system to allow for another shipping address to be used.

If you can make the cart create a separate order number for a second address then that would work…
I'll probably just create multiple orders using a scheme like OrderNumber-OrderShipmentId for each shipping destination.

Since I don't have SEOM myself, can you tell me how it integrates with AC? Do you just create orders in AC and then import them into SEOM?

By the way, I just found this really old post (Dec 2006): viewtopic.php?f=25&t=70&hilit=stoneedge+multiple where the last post has a subject of "StoneEdge Order Manager doesn't work with multiple shipments". I'm surprised this hasn't come up more in the last 2-1/2 years.

Thanks again.

This page http://www.stoneedge.com/help/OM_DOC/Sh ... _Cart.html
has some info on how to setup the connection.

Correct i just placed the order in able. And click import in Stone Edge and it downloads the orders.
