When someone orders something from trainsignal.com they receive 2 order confirmation emails. Any ideas why this is happening and more important, how do I fix it?

Go to your Email templates and verify that only one Email template is marked for Order Placed trigger. Also make sure that if you are sending confirmation Email through code(manually) then you need to uncheck Order Placed trigger from Email template

i've checked the template settings it's only triggered once (Order Placed only appears once). Then when i edited the email template, the box Order Placed is checked and HTML email is checked. How can I check to see if an email is being sent manually?

This would be something custom, the most suitable location I can think of for this sort of code is OnePageCheckout page's CheckedOut method look into that for some Email code.

Are the emails they receive identical?
