Need Cost of Goods for Options for Drop Ship Business

Perhaps this is solvable by kits but I don't know that options will work. Here's the situation. In our drop ship model, we email one of our vendors an xml file attachment that they import into Stone Edge Order Manager (SEOM). Since this is an order with the vendor, we need to include the wholesale price for the products which we entered in the Cost of Goods field.

This is fine until we get to options. Options let you adjust the SKU and retail price but have no provision for adjustments to the wholesale price we need to send to our vendor. :(

Can anyone tell me how I might solve this problem?

My only idea so far is that since this is a drop ship model, we don't ship products ourselves. Therefore, I don't think we need the weight fields in the system. So I might just enter the Cost of Goods for an option into the weight field and use it in my xml generation code. If there's a better way to code this, I'm all ears.

Thanks.

You can adjust the cost of goods for each individual option.

go to [product]-[options and variants]-[manage variants] you then have the columns:sku, price, weight, and COGS (cost of goods).

Your looking for 2 price levels. This is not possible with Options. It will work with kits.

Stone Edge see's kits as just a bunch of items, not an item with some options. But in the end the price looks fine.
