Is it possible to customize the Order -> Send Email screen to preview the html formatted email before sending it, similar to the advanced html option for scriptlets? Even for those conversant with html, it's very difficult to see what the email looks like until after it's sent.

On Order -> Send Email pages when you select a template and move forward it brings a page Preview.aspx where text box is showing the generated Email against that templates. If you want to render that HTML you can put some place holder or literal control that page and give a try to load it with generated HTML.
