Question on disk space utilization for capacity planning

All,

I was curious if anyone could shed any light on the question of disk space utilization when it comes to a typical transaction. We are working on SQL capacity planning and I would love to hear people's experiences. So how much space can we expect a typical transaction to take, any ideas? We can then multiply that by our volume level to get our estimated disk space.

Thanks in advance!

This could vary depending on how your store is configured - particularly the types of products, shipping choices, use of product templates, etc. Perhaps the best way to determine is to use the demo copy to configure your store, then run a few test transactions that you think would be representative of your typical transaction. Then compare your database size before and after to determine the impact.
