Variant part of the SKU's

We were told that the Variant's can be broken out into the SKU's. For example, if the current SKU is 12345 and the variant is blue, red and green, AC can now expand the SKU's to be 12345-blue, 12345-red and 12345-green.

How do we do that? Our AC version is 7.0 build 10863.

You would set the product to use the stem of the sku. Then in the options add the suffix to the record for that option.

How would we actually do that? Is it within our Admin control panel? Which steps?

Yes, you should be able to do this through your Able admin. While editing a product, click Options and Variants. Then click the Edit icon next to the option (looks like a little notepad). You'll be able to enter a SKU Modifier for each option choice. That will get appended to the end of the product's main SKU.

NOTE: If you click Manage Variants, the SKU entered on that page replaces the product SKU, it is not appended to it.
