Help Please,

We are having 2 issues with PayPal.

1. When customer use the onepage checkout PayPal method the order is not connection the Shipping address info from the PayPal account with the order info I receive. ( this is making the payment say "Shipping Address: No Address Provided
Payments without a shipping address are not covered by PayPal's seller protection policies and programs.")

We have checked and rechecked all out settings and IPN info.

Our Paypal Express button works perfectly, only our onepage Checkout is not transmitting the IPN info.
we are using version 7.0.2

2. We have customized our store to only use Residential UPS rates, but our Paypal shipping quotes are coming back as commercial 90% off the time. Any suggestions on how to only get Residential rate from PayPal payments.

The only way to get the shipping address to be the one in Paypal account is to use the express checkout. On the normal paypal payment method, the customer can change the shipping address and it would be unconfirmed. On the normal method, the order is saved before the customer goes to Paypal, on the Express method, the address gets picked up from the Paypal account.
On the commercial shipping, an anonymous user is created with non-residence shipping, so if they go to Paypal Express checkout that could still stay non-residence. For one client, I changed the address to residential everywhere I found it on the store pages and then on the basket page, I made the address residential for the user before the checkout process went any further. That took care of most of the issues, but if a Paypal customer has a business name in their account, Able assumes non-residential rates when they send the order back to the site.

I am seeing something strange, and I don't know if it is related or not. We are using Paypal Website Payments Standard. The payment is stuck in status "authorization pending." The notes say that it is "waiting for IPN (PENDING)." We have PayPal setup correctly because other orders go through fine on PayPal. We have PayPal setup to "capture" instantly because we are in a Medium Trust environment.

Is this "Pending" result simply an abandoned cart? Is this what happens when a customer proceeds through checkout to the confirmation page, but he customer does NOT click the PayPal payment button to pay on PayPal? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I think the pending is probably because of a traffic jam or similar at Paypal. If you search for Paypal IPN in the forum, you will see other posts where the payment shows up pending and sometimes the data gets thru later, some times it doesn't. I think it's a Paypal problem, not an Able problem.
