Full Text Search Mod?

Are the procedures for full text search stored within a dll? I am trying to do a lot of tweaking so we can get back better results by using full text search according to advance search operations then make a function in which we pass the user input and will return a single SQL server full text query which we pass to stored procedure. Problem is, I cant seem to find it anywhere so I am guessing it is in CommerceBuilder.dll? I was just going to mod the one you have, but if we have to do our own thats fine too.
