Processing charges in two currencies

Hi,
We are an internet retailer based in Canada but we sell worldwide. Predominantly the main currency processed thru our store is USD however we also accept Cad so as not to alienate our fellow Canadian client base which is steadily growing. We have a store that was custom built several years ago by a developer that we no longer have contact with. We currently have a default currency display in US dollars but if a Canadian wants they can click link just to the right of the US display price where they can "switch to Canadian" dollars. Important to note that this not only changes the display currency but as well their credit card will be processed in Canadian dollars (we have two separate Moneris Solutions accounts one for each currency).
I was told by salesperson that this is not possible for us to do with an off the shelf solution from Able Commerce and that you can only process in ONE currency (despite several "display" currency options). Is this true? If we have to purchase two separate licenses or "stores" to accommodate this situation that we want to recreate then will it be a "seamless" experience for the shopper as it currently is on our site? Our website is www.tonicliving.com if you want to check it out for an example of what i'm describing.
Looking forward to hearing from somebody about this,
Janine

Yes its not possible out of the box but I think there are some attempts to accomplish this via writing custom payment providers. Please have a look at following thread
