When I was in high school (mid-80's), I was the first freshman to ever take the (one) computer class my small-town school offered. Only seniors could take it. Ended up doing the homework for half the class - nobody really got it and geeks need friends too you know. They nearly booted me for figuring out how to elevate any student credentials to the instructor level.

It wasn't my fault they gave me the reference manual for all the PEEK/POKE commands

Won't even mention what happened when I wargames-dialed for two days and found the 4800 baud modem for the ATM at the strip mall. Thank goodness those records purged when you turn 18........
