Invoices not printing
Invoices not printing
If I select a few Invoices then select "Print Invoice", "Print", only the first Invoice prints.
At the top of the Invoice Page is says: Includes Order Numbers:73997, 73999
but only 73997 printed.
All the Invoices are displayed but only one prints.
I'm using AC 7.0.4.
Anyone know why it's doing this?

Re: Invoices not printing
Hi Mike,
I don't have a solution, but wanted to share that we have been having the same exact problem in version 7.0.3. We've had the same problem printing with both IE and Mozilla constantly over the last few days. I wanted to add that we have also been having problems with page breaks not working and missing invoices in the middle of the lot not printing out. It creates a lot of confusion when we try to print out large groups of invoices at once. If anyone has a solution or reason as to why this is happening, I would also appreciate the info!

Re: Invoices not printing
I'm using IE8.
I works sometimes, then it doesn't.
I just printed 2 and it was ok. Then I tried to print 3 and only one printed.
Is it a printer problem? The printer is a year old HP P1006.

Re: Invoices not printing
Browser printing is not foolproof- we have sites where it doesn't do page breaks right in IE, but does it OK in FireFox.
If it is OK in one version of Able for you, but not in another, you might be able to find the problem by comparing code files and the print.css between the versions.

>> Browser printing is not foolproof . . yes, it seems to have a mind of its own
One thing I did find that seems to be true:
If the Order has a long list of products (more than can fit on the whole page),
just the Header part prints on the first page (leaving 3/4 of the page empty)
and the products on the next page (Qty.....Sku......etc....)
It breaks the page, at this Grid:
<tr>
<td colspan="4" class="dataSheet" >
<asp:GridView ID="OrderItems" runat="server" ShowHeader="true" .......

Re: Invoices not printing
Yes, I see exactly the same results when printing invoices with a long list of products. The header gets printed seperately from the product list. I also sometimes get a leading blank page before anything prints.
But it looks like maybe a problem in IE8. It seems to work OK in Firefox.

Re: Invoices not printing
I spend about six hours and must have printed 200 test pages using &%@$* IE8 last night .But it looks like maybe a problem in IE8. It seems to work OK in Firefox.
About an hour before I read your post, I tried Firefox for the hell of it -
and it looks like the printing problems went away
I still have to do more testing, but it looks like firefox is printing ok.
Do you have any other problems with firefox, like some Invoices not printing
or being skipped?

Re: Invoices not printing
Hi Mike,
I generally use IE8, despite all sorts of weird problems, not necessarily with AC.
But because I'm still developing my store, I keep FireFox open to review the store appearance with the two browsers...yes they render differently on many elements.
I'm not sure why I don't switch my primary browser over....most things seems to work fine in FF. Stubborn habits, I suppose.

You may also want to check the site in IE6 and IE7.
Get this program if you want to check it in IE6: IETester
