Oops

Post by windsurfer » Mon Feb 22, 2010 10:32 am

I am using the demo 7 version and when i try to change the background color in a theme i get this message "Oops!
An unexpected error has occurred. The error message has been recorded for the system administrator. We apologize for the inconvenience."
Is this because i am using the demo ?

No it seems that you are missing something when editing the theme. Which theme file you are trying to edit. Its skin of CSS file.

Hi Mahzar
admin
themes file manager
glass aqua
componentart css
/* this styles the container for the menu */
.MenuGroup
{
background-color: #E3EFFF;
color: #01076C;

If try to change the back-ground color for example i would get the oops page

I changed the permissions to the app_themes directory for "users" and now it is okay.

I am not sure that this error is because of some change in style. I guess you need to turn off the custom errors on your website turn on the debug mode and then try to reproduce the error so that it outputs some details about error.

I have been looking to see if i can get the whole site to be somewhere around 1300 PX and have been able to get the storeheader to resize, is there a way to get the rest of the site to resize, been looking at the "outerContentWrapper" but can't seem to change the width.

I got rid of the oops error by changing the permissions to the user on the app_themes directory
