Email Trigger Question

Hi -
I just have a simple question. We haven't been using AbleCommerce shipment notification emails but I am about to turn them on. I just want to verify that all the past orders that would fall under the "Order Fully Shipped" email triggers won't actually get sent.
So emails will only be sent from the time I set and turn on the trigger and going forward.
