Show lowest price variant on category page...

Post by crazyjoe » Thu Jul 22, 2010 9:32 am

My category page shows a price for each product under my thumbnails. Many of my products have different prices based on their variants. Is there a way I can force it to show the lowest price variant on my category grid page?

Hi Joe,

I recently worked on ProductHelper.cs and we found a way to select the first option in the list. If you could put your cheapest price first in the options list my solution should work for you.

Here is where I posted.

This may be helpful. This topic is for product options. You can try something similar with variants

Mazhar,

That is close to what I want, you are right, I'd have to customize it to use variants as opposed to options. Unfortunately I have no idea how to go about figuring out how to make this call variants and show their range. Is it possible someone can append that wiki to also show this same idea using variants? Or should I talk to some companies about just doing this custom for me?
