We have a need for an item called Gift Box that is like a Gift Wrap.
We currently ship in bags.
We would like to offer a box.
This is different that Gift Wrap.
So, I'd like to add another Gift option to the product and have it appear at the item level as well as in check out
How would one go about doing this?

I believe this will require customization, by making use of product custom fields through code you would be able to sum with something to allow merchant to create and associate some boxes with products. Then upon checkout you may ask them about boxes and finally this information will be available to you on order.
