index.aspx page linking to store

We've created an index.aspx page that our store customers will go to first before going to the store. This page will not have the same layout or menus as the rest of the store. It does have a link on the page back to the store. We do want to have manageable content on this page though. We've created a scriptlet - it works fine and is returning content. However, it shows layout messages like:
[[layout:header]] [[layout:leftsidebar]] This is a sample index page header [[layout:rightsidebar]] [[layout:footer]]
Can you tell us how to eliminate the layout messages? Thanks for your help!

Go to the admin side website--> Content and Layout -->Select your scrip let and remove its description text and header text, Just leave its content.

Well, I tried that to no avail - it is still appearing. The description and header boxes are empty ... is there anything else I can try??
Thank you so much for your help!

Give a try by going on edit screen of your index page then select 'Active Layout' to 'Content Only'.
