Shipping Coupon Discount is calculated with Taxes

Hello All,
Wondering if someone can help
I have setup a Free Shipping coupon for orders over 600.
1) When the coupon is accepted the final screen does not show the discount for the new coupon. Is there a way to fix this?
2) I would like for the shipping coupon to behave slightly differently - any hints?

10 Tax 10%
