Gift Certificate payment option

We had a gift certificate payment method but it somehow got deleted. Is there anyway to get it back?

I believe the Gift Certificate payment method only comes up when a Gift Certificate number has been generated and active. Do you have a gift certificate set up in the store; has one been purchased?
