error shutting down site

Post by Chris Hadden » Thu Nov 18, 2010 10:34 am

Ablecommerce 7.02

It seems almost everytime I try to add something or change the header area I end up shutting down the site. I can't fix it. Even deleting my header and putting in the original does not bring to the site back up. I have to call my host and have them reinstall the backup. Here is what the error says:

Exception of type 'System.Web.HttpUnhandledException' was thrown.; Lexical error: NVelocity.Runtime.Parser.TokenMgrError: Lexical error at line 1, column 1269. Encountered: "t" (116), after : "&" at NVelocity.Runtime.Parser.Parser.IfStatement() at NVelocity.Runtime.Parser.Parser.Statement() at NVelocity.Runtime.Parser.Parser.Process() at NVelocity.Runtime.Parser.Parser.Parse(TextReader reader, String templateName)

What does this mean????????????????????????????

It looks like you might be editing it in the WYSIWYG editor of the scriplet. That throws extra stuff in that can break the nVelocity. Try editing it in the default way- don't click the html editor and do it in the popup box.
