Set a firm price on a item

Post by compunerdy » Fri Jan 21, 2011 12:44 pm

Is there a way to set a price that cannot be changed via discounts? I have set up multiple wholesale discounts, etc but I have one item that I do not want to sell at a discount. Is there a easy way to exclude it?

It looks like the only way to do it is to set it as a product specific discount and select all but that product for it to apply to.

So I would have to go into every discount I have created and change them all to be product specific and add every item in the store except this one??

That does not sound like fun at all...

When a discount is defined on a product, the category level discounts are ignored. What you can do is to simply assign a discount the the product that never becomes true. Having a discount defined on the product will prevent category level discounts from being applied to the product and the discount defined on the product itself will never become applicable because of the conditions set for it.
