What triggers a user's accoun to get disabled?

Every now and then I'll get a user that keeps getting their account disabled. I clear the disabled checkbox to re-enable it. I set a password for them with the option to require a new password after they login with the temp password. And again they get locked out. I do NOT think they are entering a wrong password or exceeding a number of login attempts.
What are the triggers that cause an account to get disabled? I'm using AC 7.0.4

Thanks Judy, I don't see an inactivity period. There is a "max age" in the passwords area, mine was blank yet the tooltip says to set 0 for no age. Maybe it's not handling null's properly? I entered a zero, but I think it's something else. I'll have to review the source next week and see when the disabled bit is getting checked.

Did you ever figure this out? I keep getting a user that’s being disabled.
The user logs in every hour so it's not an age issue or password issue.
Are there any other exceptions for locking out an account? Maybe logging into frequently?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

No, I did not figure it out, it is a very unfortunate situation! Yes, my users login frequently as I have portals integrated into their My Account area so they login more than a typical shopper as this is my main site/system.

Okay then I guess we both have the same bug.
I am running version 7.0.5
If I figure out how to fix it I will be sure to post it back here.
I am surpirsed it does not effect more people or maybe it does and they just don't care.

Many times people fix and move on because reporting an issue just invites questions and time consuming tasks and no one has time. I'll keep hunting too.
