Not able to add some products to kits?

I'm trying to add a particular product to a kit but AC7 is not allowing it (see photo with no checkbox next to item). It worked fine in AC5.5 and but not here. There's nothing special about the item, compared to other items in the kit. Any ideas?

My first thought was that the product might be set to disable purchase, but when I ran a test on one of my kits, the disabled item still shows up with a check box to add it to the kit.

Perhaps the item(s) in question are bugged in some way? If so, try making a new version of the product and see if that solves the problem.

Is the product without the checkbox a kit ?

You can't add kits as products within other kits.
