Up until March 10, the referrer for orders was often a google search url. Something like http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=w ... =j&q=stork child's stool&ei=yEl5TeLjNob0tgOh962FAw&usg=AFQjCNFJmHe0ql-WyRXmBp4q8_qmFcWIkg.
After that date, the referrer just says https://www.storkgifts.com/sg/Checkout/Default.aspx.
The reason changed around that date was our hosting company screwed up and added an ASP.NET 1.1 web site to the same application pool as us and it took them several days to resolve the issue. I am not sure of all the details of the fix. At one point they tried putting us in our own separate app pool. But because they still had other 2.0 sites in the same pool as the 1.1 sites, our site still suffered from server unavailable issues. Eventually, they stopped polluting their app pool and the site resumed its functionality. But we now have the problem that the referrer is no longer valid.
Can someone shed some light on what the host could have done to invalidate this functionality?
In addition to the above problem, we can set up search parameters (Order Status – Received, Date Range – All Dates), hit search, go into a particular order, then click ‘Orders’ at the top to go back to the selected list. Before the hosting problem, the search parameters would be remembered. Now, it is hit or miss. Frequently, it takes us back to the default list which is in order of purchase. Wanted to mention this in case it is related. If not, I'll create a separate post.
