Linkpoint/First Data Global Gateway

I have a customer using 7.0.0 who wants to use the Linkpoint payment gateway. They are on a Win2008 box. Based on AbleCommerce system requirements stating that Linkpoint will not work on Win2008, I told the customer that Linkpoint will not work. First Data responded with a PDF file on implementing their Web Service API v3. Is the Web Services API v3 something that AbleCommerce supports at all? Has anyone else tried this solution?

We are having the same problem. Moving a customer from a linux based system that has used Linkpoint for years to AbleCommerce and have run into this major problem. Linkpoint says it is a shopping cart problem. Shopping cart folks seem to be pointing at Windows...hmmmm wonder who Microsoft will point to...

Anyone have a solution other than making our client change his gateway?

You would need to have a custom gateway written or wait for Able to come out with a newer one, but I don't know if that is even in the plans. We ran into the same problem with CyberSource and Able is coming out/did come out with a new gateway for that.
