Way to NOT Require CVV?

Is there a way to NOT require the CVV when entering credit card payments through the Admin? It doesn't happen often, but occasionally a card is rubbed enough that you can't read it or someone feels uncomfortable giving the number over the phone. There are also long backorder scenarios where we need to re-authorize cards.
Thanks,
Sam

If you don't have your gateway set to decline a charge if there is no match, you can just put in anything, like 999

Just found out today that it is set up to decline on CVV mismatch. This is what we want a majority of the time. What are people doing for people with subscription type products? Obviously you can't keep the CVV. Can I just disable the required field validator on the admin side?

You could do that, but if you have it set up to decline on mismatch, it will still decline.
We used to have to call the customer and get the Security code again- a real pain.

What a pain. Is this something new to AC7? We still run a couple sites on 5.5 I don't recall needing to pass a CVV in the admin and having it decline.
Having the boss man check his fraud settings in Authorize.net.

The setting is in your admin in the payment gateway, not in Able.
