Admin user: This account has been disabled.

Ok, don't be too upset. I don't know much about AbleC and I only have a development licence. The history is that I had set up the development site and I have been working off and on for several months re-creating our standard theme from our current site. Not in a big hurry really. My plans are to get the css work done, get a plan for importing my existing SF store and then buy the permanent license and make the switch.

For the last few months, I have been working on a different project and today I went to log in as admin user in the ablecommerce development store and it says that my only admin account is "This account has been disabled." I assume this is because of inactivity because there has been no code changes or updates. I assume that there is way to restore this account, but I don't know just how to do it. In fact, I have been away from the ablecommerce project so long, that I barely even remember what I was up to.

Is there a simple way to resolve this issue?

Thanks to Logan_AbleCommerce for discussing this topic in an earlier thread. I had searched and didn't find the answer, but I kept following tid bits and found it.

Maybe this post will help the next newbie that gets hit in the face with not being able to get into the admin area

This is kind of funny, but then again not that funny. But I am glad you got it resolved.

Glad I amused you.

I learned a lot from this little experience and it will stick with me a long time. Quite a negative experience overall when I consider the entire episode that includes what happened outside of this forum. I know that it turned out to be a simple fix, but that one itty bit of knowledge you need can sometimes be very difficult to find, particularly when you are new to a product.
