PayPal and Google Analytics

We are desperately trying to get Google Analytics functioning on our site!

The credit card sales and data are showing perfectly, but we are having no success with PayPal.

Surely there are AbleCommerce users who use PayPal and also integrate with Google Analytics! We have seen other posts regarding this same issue and none have been answered/addressed.

We have all the API information, return URL, etc. set-up correctly with PayPal.

Is this an AC bug or are we missing something??

We are running on 7.0.7 if that makes a difference.

I am getting ready to integrate Google Analytics and we use Paypal. So, I would be interested in the issues with this as well.

I just checked my son-in-law's site and his paypal orders are being registered. Have you put the ecommerce tracking code on the receipt page? It is in addition to the google analytics code that comes with Able.

Is that something where we manually enter a bunch of code throughout various places directly on the receipt page? If so, that raises another issue where the PayPal landing receipt page is actually the myorder.ascx page (or something like that) instead of the receipt.aspx page. So, anytime a customer goes to look back at a previous order, wouldn't it trigger the code? I've been told there is not a way to have the PayPal landing page be the same receipt.aspx page as the credit card receipt page.

It's code that you enter at the bottom of the receipt page and you need to get the code from Google Analytics because it would have your account number in it. On the site I looked at, he has the same settings you do as far as HandleFailedPayments="true" and he is getting ecommerce tracking.

Hi Judy,

Do you happen to know how he has PayPal integrated into his site? Is it the standard option or the Website Payment Pro?

AbleCommerce is saying that the issue is because our customers are leaving our site and then coming back which is why it is not registering. However, their only option to stay "on" the site to process PayPal is with the Website Payment Pro. When looking into Website Payment Pro, it looks like it is only for credit card processing and not regular PayPal payments. We don't need an additional credit card processor! We just need our regular old PayPal payments to show up, which it looks like have to be completed on the PayPal site so the customers have to leave and come back.

UGH!!!

Thanks,
Kristi
