We don't use the Able Commerce storefront, just the checkout and shopping cart. We add to cart directly from our website. We've run into a problem where Google and other search engines find the Able commerce store front pages for our products anyway, and can't figure out how to hide them. We've got the following in the robots.txt file, but it doesn't help.
user-agent: *
Disallow: /
Disallow: /Admin/
Disallow: /App_Themes/
Disallow: /Assets/
Disallow: /Checkout/
Disallow: /ClientApi/
Disallow: /ConLib/
Disallow: /FCKeditor/
Disallow: /images/
Disallow: /Install/
Disallow: /Layouts/
Disallow: /Members/
Disallow: /webcharts/
Disallow: /Basket.aspx
Disallow: /BuyProduct.ashx
Disallow: /Commerce
Disallow: /commerce
We have also selected visibility: hidden on product pages in the hope that this will work, but it doesn't seem to. If we select visibility: private, the visitors to our website are unable to purchase the product.
(for example, http://www.case.org/commerce/Building-a ... P1205.aspx shows in Google search results, as do all other product page www.case.org/commerce.)
Does anyone know how to address this problem and get rid of the Able Commerce storefront links in search engine results?
Able Commerce Storefront Pages in search results
Re: Able Commerce Storefront Pages in search results
Hi there,
I'm wondering if the page was indexed by Google before you were able to modify the robots.txt file? If that's the case, then you do have an option to remove specific pages from the search results until Google comes back around and re-indexes your site.

AbleCommerce versions 7.06 & 7.0.7 have the ability to redirect as well. This is under the Configure > SEO menu. There are two new features for Dynamic redirects and Fixed redirects. This might also help...
Thanks,
Katie
