Deleting Old Abandoned Baskets from Registered Users

With "Anonymous User Maintenance" configured "Days to Save:1", when running the MonthlyAbandonedBaskets.aspx report it takes at least 6 minutes or it times-out.
Perhaps if Abandoned Baskets from registered users older 30 Days can be deleted, the report would not timeout. Has anyone had this issue? How can I remove these items? (Inventory is constantly changing and most items in older abandoned carts are seldom available rendering any conversion unlikely).
Using 7.0.7 build 14588, asp.net framework 4
