UPS Negotiated Rates

Hi all-

I know this has been touched on before, but I don't seem to see a definitive answer anywhere. I am using 7.04 and want to integrate our UPS negotiated rates. I have all the information from UPS, but what do I do on the Able side?

There isn't anything you can do without a custom gateway. Able is working on the issue and will come out with a patch for it, but I don't know when and I don't know how old of build they will patch.

if you open up the table ac_ShipGateways
you will see something like this in the ConfigData

make sure that in the configdata string: ShipperNumber=
is populated with your account number other wise you will not get Negotiated Rates.

We ran into two problems with that- the entry is encrypted on a live store with SSL turned on.
Also, if anything was changed in the admin for the gateway, that entry was updated and broken again.

Has there been any other workarounds to get negotiated rates to work in a 7.x site? Or is editing the config string still the only way to accomplish this?

Development on AC 7.0.7 ceased July 2011, so no further improvements have been made since this forum was last updated. In AbleCommerce Gold, there is a feature to enable negotiated rates.

Hoping to move to R10 once it is released, but I wanted to do some experiments using our negotiated rates. I guess I will wait for R10.
