"Add to cart" does nothing on Mac

One of my clients customers sent a note that the shopping cart does not support Mac OS. The site is very active and there have never been any complaints of this kind in the several years it's been running until now. It was verified that the "add to cart" button does nothing when clicked. Any thoughts? Could this be a browser incompatibility? Has anyone else experienced this problem?
