I have a client who uses able, and we need to "merge" users from multiple systems. Is there a way I can talk to the Able API to extract users and their passwords to input into the other system, and visa vera import into able?

You can use Able's dataport utility, but the passwords in Able are encrypted.

If you can export the passwords as plain text from the non-Able system you can pass in the plain text password into Able using the dataport utility. But as Judy indicated, you can't get the plain text passwords out of Able. It's a one-way encryption algorithm.
