Affiliate ID Logic? Not working on current site

I recently set up an affiliate in the system.

- Used the proper url syntax to link to the referring site...
- When clicking on the link, the url correctly shows .../Default.aspx?afid=1
- Tested the system and placed an order after loading several products in the shopping cart...HOWEVER...

Checked the affiliate sales info...Nothing registered...
Links seem to be correct as the admin section for affiliates is showing 15+ "referrals" to the site...

Any ideas about what could be the cause of the missing sale information to the affiliate?

I do know that after I "left" the home page, the affiliate ID was no longer part of the URL...

Is the AC process designed to leave a "cookie" on the shoppers computer and pick that up at time of checkout...?

Able leaves a cookie on the browser that ties the shopper to a specific anonymous user account in Able. That user account has the affiliate assignment. When testing affiliates, be sure you have cleared your browser cookies (at least the Able-created ones) before testing begins. Otherwise you won't see the results you expect.
