Kit/Bundle require one check box?

I have a product that is using Kits / Bundles. Using a single "Component" with 2 items. Using Check Box as the option.
By default both check boxes are checked.
Its wheels so its both front and rear selected by default. But I want them to be able un selected one so they can get only a front if they wish.
Iv had it setup this way for almost 2 years and today is the first time I had someone un selected both the front and the rear and add the product to there cart. But basically they added nothing.
I am running.
AbleCommerce 7.0.5 build 14053
Is there any suggestions on how to tweak this? Maybe set a minimum number of options that must be selected for said component?
