Lifetime Limits?

Post by sweeperq » Mon Feb 04, 2013 10:34 am

There is a Min/Max on the product setup page that allows you to limit how many products a customer can purchase at a time. Is there any way to limit it based on the customer rather than the order? We have a limited edition product and want to limit to 6 per customer.

You could do this via a product coupon (uses per customer) but you would either need to force them to enter the coupon (discounted price for using it) or modify the code somehow to automatically use it.

Interesting approach, I'll look into it.

Food for thought... If your store allows people to come and register without restriction they might be able to bypass user based limits.
