AC7 User Limit?
AC7 User Limit?
Has anybody run into a limit on the number of user accounts that can be created on an AbleCommerce 7.0.7 site? We currently have around 1,600 user accounts and would like to know if it will scale to 10,000 or 50,000 user accounts. Does anybody have 50,000 user accounts, and if so are there any performance or maintenance type issues?

There is no reason you can't have 50K or more users. I think there should be a number of AC7 deployments with as many users or more.

Hi There,
I think it's safe to say that you can have over 200,000 users with no performance issues as long as your hardware is up to par.

Re: AC7 User Limit?
I just finished helping clean up an Able database with over 3,000,000 user records. Site performance was noticeably impacted, especially with Able's need to update the users's LastActivityDate on every single postback.
Always make sure your Able maintenance is running - you can see the maintenance results in the /Admin/Logs/App.log file.

Re: AC7 User Limit?
On Joe's suggestion we have made an update in AC Gold so that LastActivityDate will be updated only once in a minute for a user. This applies to Gold R5.
After this update any remaining performance concerns regarding users should go.
