Placing order using Chrome

Post by jmestep » Mon Apr 15, 2013 8:20 am

A client has wanted us to ask about this problem. We haven't been able to do it and she can't duplicate it consistently.
We had a customer call about not being able to place an order in Google Chrome. I am having a problem with Chrome right now as well.
After entering the billing address, I hit continue. The processing window appeared (without the processing graphic), went away and nothing changed with the page.

I am using Chrome version "26.0.1410.64 m" in incognito mode.
Is anyone else seeing a problem?
Thanks

In incognito mode Chrome does not save cookies and asp.net session state. Session state may get lost during checkout in incognito mode:

Thanks, Mike. I did see that about Chrome but wasn't sure it applied because of what it said about not saving the cookies after a browser was closed. I got the impression from this client that itr was all happening in the current browser session.

We are getting more and more calls from customers using Chrome who are getting time outs in their shopping carts. Is this happening to any other Able Commerce Merchants out there? A previous post suggests it's when Chrome is in Incognito mode. We've tested that and the cart functioned fine. And even if it was the case, shouldn't our cart function regardless of the settings on various browsers? We need to get to the bottom of whether this is a known issue with Able and Chrome or if we have a particular issue with our cart. Any feedback would be really appreciated!

Hi Jaime,

No problems on the customer end for us, but you can try this and hope this may help. Try to enter a payment in for an order through the backend, for some reason in Chrome we get stuck...
