4.0 is a few years old now. Will there be an update anytime soon?

Sorry, but the answer is probably no, because we've been developing on AbleCommerce Gold for awhile now. It supports .Net 4.5 which was released after development had already ceased on AbleCommerce 7.0.7.

Thanks,

From the customer's perspective and as most of the customers have done extensive customization as with any store:

1) What is the customer's effort required to implement a minor patch to support .NET 4.5?

2) What is the customer's level of effort, cost, risk to migrate to 7.0.8 (GOLD)?

In my opinion 7.0.7 is a solid platform that many will remain with for years to come. It would be a good idea if AC provided the small patch required to bring it to .NET 4.5 and IE 10 compatibility. Case in point, ablecommerce.com - you all don't want to update this to GOLD. It would look pretty bad if someone came to your site and couldn't purchase such as I pointed out with Win8 + IE10 to you months ago as it did happen. Wouldn't you all like to update ablecommerce.com to .NET 4.5 for all the benefits, browser detection/compat. etc. and not have to do a full redo of your site?
