viewing customers searchs

Is there a way to look back at the searches people run on your web site. That could be really useful.

Thanks
Chris

If you are running Google Analytics on your site, there is a super easy non-coding way to see what searches your customers are performing.

Go to Content | Site Content | All Pages and type Search.aspx in the search box. Each customer search will show up as a separate page with the search term listed as a parameter. You can sort these by page views and see all of your most frequent searches in one easy view.

Btw - this is a fantastic tool for deciding what Pay Per Click campaigns you might want to implement or where to focus your search engine optimization. If customers are searching these keywords on your site, you can bet they are searching them on Google as well.

It's easy to set up Google Analytics Site Search, and well worth it.

Press the Help button while in your GA account. Type "site search" in the search box. Follow the link "Setup and configure Site Search". Follow the steps. In step 8 the Able Commerce query parameter is the letter k. Just type a k in the box and press Apply.

Check back the next day and explore Site Search!
