USPS rates are not showing anymore

Upon checkout we no longer see USPS rates. When I tried to configure another USPS carrier and run a USPS test; I get this error:

USPS Canned Test Results

Rate Calculator : Test 1 FAILED
Error Number : 80040b1a
Error Message : API Disabled: RateV2. This API has been retired. Please use RateV4. Documentation can be found at https://www.usps.com/business/webtools- ... guides.htm

I think we have been keeping the API RateV3 updated, but I will need to confirm with development on which version AbleCommerce is using.

What version of AbleCommerce are you using? Also, from the Help > About page, can you list the version of the CommerceBuilder.USPS DLL.

Did you apply the USPS patch from January of this year? It was at that time USPS notified their customers that the RateV2 versions of the domestic Rate Calculator will be retired on March 31, 2012.

Also, just to confirm, you applied the latest patch from last month, right? Make sure you updated the service URL's:

Live Mode URL: http://production.shippingapis.com/ShippingAPI.dll
Test Server URL: http://stg-production.shippingapis.com/ShippingApi.dll

I've also heard that the USPS test URL is having some issues. So, if you've applied both patches, and you still get an error, try unchecking the box for Test mode.

No I did not apply either one of the USPS patch. Where do I find them ?

You should be seeing a notice from the Merchant Dashboard. The direct link to update is here -

In Step 1, it explains that you need to apply the January update and a link is provided. Apply that update first, and make sure to use the files for version 7.0.2.

Just follow the instructions carefully, and if you have any trouble, let us know!
