Notification for when order payment is corrected / updated..

A customer places an order which the payment is initially bad. User comes back a week later and updates payment online. Payment is made good…but we are not notified. How does everyone else deal with this kind of issue? Is there an email trigger I could create that sends an email if an order is updated from problem to paid?
