Coupon honored AFTER it expired...

Reporting this as it may apply to GOLD as well.
Customer places an order during a coupon period that is valid, i.e. Black Friday 2016. However, credit card is declined. Order is now a problem order.
Customer comes back a month later to pay with a different credit card. The order now goes through yet the sale is over (coupon expired).
It's also interesting that the date of the purchase is the original date of the order so I was surprised to see a Nov 28th order email TODAY. I believe the order date should be the date PAID not the date the order was originally placed.
