Hi,
I am investigating upgrading our current 7.0.5 store to the current version and I have a few questions on how to do that.

The 7.0.5 store was built from Commercebuilder. Do I need use Commercebuilder to upgrade to 7.0.6 etc? Or can I just extract the files and do a compare? Also, how do I know that code that was compiled in Commercebuilder will be compatible with newer versions?

All the code from 7.0.x version will be replaced by the Gold application code. The database will be upgraded, but you will need to use all new files for the latest version. If you have customization, those will need to re-applied to the new version.
