Shipping fee for shipping products from different warehouses

Hi guys
I see that AC7 supports associating a product with a warehouse, and if a customer places an order through the checkout for example with 2 products each from a different warehouse, AC7 smartly breaks the order up into 2 shipments.
What I would like to know is, is it possible to configure AC7 do the above but without adding 2 seperate shipping charges? Rather than charging the customer potentially twice the shipping cost because their order needs to come from 2 warehouses - some merchants I think would want to absorb that cost and only charge a single shipping charge (e.g. I think Amazon does this).
Alternately is it possible to configure AC7 to not automatically break up the order into seperate shipments but still retain product warehouse assignment for admin purposes?
