Purge orphaned products

How do I purge all my orphaned products at one time?
When I delete a category, it warns me about deleting all it's contents.
That's not really true - the products don't get deleted, they just get orphaned.

Haven't checked AC7 yet, but in AC5, there was a search for products w/o category and then you could delete them.

You can too in AC7, but only one at a time.

That's not really true - the products don't get deleted, they just get orphaned.
If that is the case it is a bug. We will verify this in our latest revision.

How many you have? We have resolved the bug but I have to judge whether the Orphaned Products page needs enhancement.

Total was 634, like 16 pages worth
I got rid of mine, so my issue is handled for now. But I see a good possibility for people testing product import with a category and then nuking the category until the import is what they want. Depending on their import size or number of test imports, it could become an issue for them.
Might be easiest to just add a checkbox to the gridview with a Delete Selected button. Don't ya just love people who over-simplify things at the expense of the developer
