More info...

It appears related to some guy named George in the United Kingdom trying to order something shipped via DHL Ground. For $8.95 shipping.

I just don't think those trucks float but I've been wrong before.

How does AC7 handle a shipping method that does apply to the specified shipping address?

I have a fixed-rate DHL Ground method set to US zone only. What will AC7 do when the customer enters a shipping address of the United Kingdom?

Did you have the shipping method restricted to US zone before George made his purchase? In other words, is the fact that he was able to use that method unexpected?

If you had the shipping method restricted to US only, it should not have displayed for the customer.

Also, can you PM me the rest of the details from the viewstate error? I would like to know more about it, and see whether it's related.

UPS offers "Ground" shipping to Alaska and Hawaii. No joke! :)

Logan,

I'm in the process of imaging my server drives to another set of drives. Assuming I haven't smoked the entire server install, I'll PM you the full event msg soon as the server comes back up.

I suspect is has to do with the attempt to ship using a US-zone method to a non-US address. Maybe I have it set up wrong in my system. I'll review that and provide setup details as well. That should be something I can easily test.

I'll you what, the ability to log in as an existing user is surprisingly useful. I've been using it alot more lately. You can test all sorts of things as that user without even having to know their password or type their username.

Nice touch.

Thank our forum users. Several of them brought up the issue and we patched in the update after our initial beta.

Logan, I was not able to reproduce the shipping method problem.

I must have had the default shipping method set to "All Countries" but the zone set to Contiguous US.

That's the only thing I can think of. When I try to make it happen now, the system correctly does not offer a method of shipment to the UK and tells me there are no shipping methods possible.

It had to be somewhere in my combination of a flat-rate method, zones etc. Wish I could provide more but I can't remember precisely how it was cnfigured.

USA Shipping Zip Code Not Valid - Wisconsin

Hi,
We used to be set up default for the entire World, but we set up 2 zones Alaska Hawaii and the Continental USA and thats it for now.

We did this last week and have had 2 calls from customers in continental USA saying "Wrong Zip Code. " THis did not happen before.

Is there a table look up for zip codes that maybe is NOT complete. Shouldn't it just look for 5 or 9 numbers and accept ALL? This creates a difficulty if it works this way,,, may need to go back to world wide shipping.

Please advise if it has to do a look up and match. Zip codes change.

Thanks, Don :?:
